VARANASI ....the city of death....SHIVA´s City...

Varanasi is a magic but sometimes overwhelming city is where the most intimate rituals of life and death takes place in public on the city ghat.
Here I found the 1st ocidental shock in India, I forgot everything that I saw before and tried to be imparcial and unsided.

Corpses are being burned 24/7 without end, there is a fire burning since 3000 BC...
As western, its allways difficult not to judge when u see little babies bodies in the river or see a corpse being burned in my front... image, sounds, smells and textures turn me into a wondering spirit in the City of Death...

Here the family is wrapping the body in a white cloth, then a boat comes and they throw the body in Ganga River.
